The media is with no doubt an instrument regarded to have power. Most people one way or the other adhere to what the media say ‘it is’. In most countries it is seen and known as the fourth arm of government. Its evidence to wield power cannot be far fetch from the incidence that incited one ethnic group against the other as captured in movie ‘Hotel Rwanda”. Can this same power be used to change the affairs of HIV/AIDS and motivate the youth and all manner of persons to fight HIV/AIDS regionally and world wide?

HIV/AIDS is an issue that affects future generations fundamentally. The discourse on how to access it seems s to have been pretty much left to health care and service providers to manage. No doubt, providing comprehensive health care to patient is the sure way, yet another effective way of fighting the disease is engaging all in ‘effective communication’ that does not only establish a medium through which issues are discussed but providing a therapeutic treatment to both affected and non-affected.
